Intensive/Factory: reasonably cheap to produce, plentiful supply of food , concerns about animal welfare, increased risk of disease, poorer quality produce, single crop or animal farmed , Organic: no chemicals used, more expensive to buy, greater nutritional & health benefits, less environmental impact as it doesnt tend to travel, relies on crop rotation to make it sustainable , more labour intensive to produce, Free Range: refers to animal & egg farming , animals are allowed outside , good animal welfare, usually belong to farm assured scheme e.g. Red Tractor, slightly more expensive to buy, animals live longer , Gentically Modified (GMO): resistant to diseases, higher yeild (more produced), plants can grow in hostile environments, food can have a longer shelf life, risk of cross pollination with non GM, possbile risk of allergies,
