Re-established the tax on molasses, Tea Act - Gave the British East India Company a monopoly on the tea trade and allowed the British to sell tea at a LOWER price than other tea (even smuggled), Proclamation of 1763 (The "Do Not Cross This Line Law") - Colonists weren't allowed to move west of the Appalachian Mountains (wanted the Natives to stop attacking-GB doesn't want to 'fight' again!), Quartering Act ("Knock-Knock I'm Home") - Colonists had to provided quarters (food and shelter) for the British troops stationed in the colonies, Stamp Act - Made colonists have to pay for stamps on printed materials such as wills, deeds, newspapers, etc., Townshend Acts - Placed taxes on glass, led, tea, paper, and paint, Navigation Acts - Stated that colonists could only trade with Great Britain and that all trade had to be on British or Colonial Ships. Any goods bought from places other than Great Britain had higher taxes placed on them, Hat Act - Limited colonial manufacturing and selling of hats, Iron Act - Limited colonial manufacturing of iron, Mercenaries - Hired Soldiers, Quartered - Given a place to live, Virtual Representation - Voters in Great Britain elect members of Parliament to represent all people of the British Empire, not just to represent a certain area (the colonists had this form of representation and did not like it!), Writs of Assistance - Search Warrants ( to look for smuggled goods), Boycott - Refusal to buy goods (British), Minutemen - Patriot soldiers who could be ready at a moment's notice, Direct Representation - Voters of a certain area elect officials to represent that area (this is what the colonists wanted in Parliament, but did not get!),
