cell/plasma membrane - surrounds all cells, selectively permeable , cell wall - outside of the cell membrane, non-living, supports/ protects cell, cytoplasm - jelly like substance that contains organelles , nucleus - controls the cell, contains DNA and is bounded by a nuclear envelope, nuclear envelope - double membrane surrounding nucleus (aka nuclear membrane), nucleolus - inside of the nucleus, makes ribosomes and disappears during cell division, cytoskeleton - maintains cell shape, helps move organelles and is made of protein, centrioles  - a bundle of microtubules, separates chromosomes and is only found in animal cells , mitochondria - "the powerhouse of the cell", generates ATP and is the site of cellular respiration, endoplasmic riticulum - network of hollow tubules, responsible for synthesis and transport, rough ER - has ribosomes on the surface and males proteins for the membrane and export, smooth ER - makes membrane lipids, regulates calcium and destroys toxin/ substances, endomembrane system - this structures includes: nuclear membrane, ER, and the cell membrane. The entire structure is responsible for transport, ribosomes - made of proteins and Rna. Attached to Rough ER or free floating in the cytoplasm, golgi body - a shipping and receiving side. Receives proteins from rough ER and transports proteins via vesicles , lysosome - digestive enzymes responsible for breaking down bacteria, food and worn out cell parts , cilia - movement of the cell and cell parts, short and many, flagella - movement of cell and cell parts, long and few, vacuoles  - fluid filled sacs for storage, usually larger in plants , chloroplasts - found in producers, use energy from sunlight to make food ,
