Refer to trichologist to get a qualified diagnosis, MONILETHERIX - Uneven production of cells in the dermal papilla , hereditary , no treatment available, hair breaks easily., INGROWING HAIR - Caused by continual close cutting next to the skin. Hard lump with dark patches in the middle underneath the surface of the skin, PITYRIASIS CAPITIS - Dandruff . Small itchy dry scales lie on scalp , TRICHORRHEXIS NODOSA - Towards point of hair the shaft swells caused by physical and chemical damage, leaves cortex exposed, FOLLICULITIS - Red area Small yellow pustules with hair in the centre. Itchy, caused by soap and detergents ., ALOPECIA AREATA - An area of baldness. No contagious , KELOIDS - Generally scars disappear after time. In some cases the scars grow into the surrounding healthy skin and create Keloid scars and are common in people with dark skin from Afro Caribbean and Indian backgrounds.,
