Anarchy: no government or authority in control, no formal rules to guide behavior or decision-making, people rely on each other to maintain order and resolve conflicts, situations become disorganized or chaotic, individuals have the right to behave how they choose without restrictions, Monarchy: a king or queen rule the country have ultimate power, leadership is passed down through the family , citizens are expected to show loyalty to the crown, the crown is not limited by laws, 2 kinds - absolute and constitutional , Dictatorship: ultimate power is held by one single leader, citizens do not get to vote freely or choose their leaders, controls the media and uses it to mislead the citizens, uses force to suppress dissent and limit freedoms, leader uses fear to gain loyalty from citizens, Oligarchy: a small group of people holds power and makes decisions, decisions are made by the elite, ruling group controls resources like money, land, and media, the ruling few benefit at the expense of the majority, ruling group is usually wealthy, Democracy: citizens have the right to vote in regular and free elections, citizens have protected rights, everyone, including government officials, have to follow the rules and laws, different branches keep each other in check to balance power, media can report freely,
