The sharing economy can be defined as taking under-utilised assets and sharing them with others., How Uber works is people employ the services of a part-time driver, who uses his/her own car, to get somewhere., Airbnb works as follows: people can stay in a person’s home renting a room or the whole flat or house rather than a hotel., These services create positive impact: being generally good for consumers, they allow to keep lower prices and provide quicker services., The negative impacts of the services include creating monopoly and being difficult for workers apart from the lower wages and no benefits., National perspectives on the sharing economy model are different., The US and UK preference is consumer gain over anything else which makes it a net winner and a very innovative model., Germany and Japan have good services that are well-regulated, and it’s not necessarily all about the cheapest price but it’s about giving opportunity for people to work and earn a reasonable living.,
