Step 1 - Place the microscope on a clean flat surface, Step 2 - Carefully place your prepared slide onto the stage ( flat bit under the lenses )., Step 3 - Angle the mirror or light so it is shining light through the hole in the stage., Step 4 - Start with the lowest powered lens, this allows you to see more of the slide., Step 5 - Look down the eyepiece and turn the focusing knob until the image looks clear., Step 6 - Use the coarse knob to adjust the image and make it clearer, Step 7 - Use the fine knob to make the image sharper,
