Democracy: Citizens have their rights protected in law, Government is elected by voters, Free speech is allowed but must not be hate speech, There are elections every few years, People can demonstrate in the streets, People can say things out loud against the goverement, People choose form many political parties, Dictatorship: Citizens have few rights, People don't get to vote or elections are rigged, There is only one political party you can vote for, You cannot criticise the government , You will be arrested if you speak out against things, You can go to prison for your beliefs, You can be tortured and intimidated into silence,
