1 - Roll back the carpet* & decide which boards need to be lifted, 2 - Check for evidence of pipes and cables, 3 - Run circular saw down the length of each board to be lifted (cutting the tongue)., 4 - Mark the centre of the joist and crosscut the board (cutting on top of a joist ensures that there is support when the board is replaced)., 5 - Lift the board to expose the joists., 6 - De-nail the lifted boards and joists., 7 - Barrier off the exposed opening to protect the customer,
