In order to help the student, you decided to provide the student with additional 1:1 support for 6 weeks, re-assessed the student, and the student progressed to 27 words per minute. What Tier 2 support would you provide to this student to enhance growth overtime. - Create your plan with the student and parent, implement the plan, assess the plan., A first grade student in your class comes from a family where, the mother is the sole care provider and is also the parent of 2 other students at your school site (grade 3rd and 5th). The second grade student is new to your school and has been in your class for 10 days now. On Monday, the student comes to class and is highly irritated, refuses to do any work, and puts his head down on his desk. After speaking with his mother, you learned that the student had a supervised visit with his father over the weekend. After learning this information, you establish a communication plan and positive student action plan with the mother and the student for the next 6 weeks. No improvement in the student's work ethics or mood has improved, so you referred the student to the COST Team and a Tier 2 intervention was implemented-8 weeks of individual counseling.
